According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, China’s textile and garment exports reached us $215.78 billion, up 9.4% year on year (12.3% year on year in RMB), and the export growth rate was 6.2 percentage points higher than that in the first half of the year.
From January to September, China’s textile exports reached us $117.95 billion, up 33.7% year-on-year (37.5% year-on-year in RMB), maintaining a relatively fast growth rate, 5.9 percentage points higher than that in the first half of the year.In addition, China’s garment exports in the first three quarters of this year were $97.83 billion, down 10.3% year on year (down 8.1% year on year in yuan terms), up 9 percentage points from the first half of the year.
In September, China’s textile export reached 13.15 billion US dollars, up 36.0% year on year (34.7% year on year in RMB). Although the growth rate of this month was lower than that of previous months, the overall growth rate of China’s textile export in the second and third quarters remained high.
Since the second half of the year, the garment export situation has continued to improve. In September, the garment export volume reached 15.23 billion US dollars, up 6.5% year on year (with a year-on-year growth of 5.3% in RMB), maintaining a positive growth trend for two consecutive months.At present, the relatively stable industrial chain and supply chain of China’s textile industry is also attracting some overseas orders.
